Liquid and ws powder fertilisers for fertigation
![]() This category of fertilisers include selected extremely pure raw materials which are highly soluble and improve nutrient assimilation. The “liquid” formulations are stable and effective, by fertigation system either in drip irrigation or by direct soil application with liquid spreaders or soil herbicides tanks. Water is the most effective vehicle for conveying nutrients to plants, so liquid or water soluble fertiliser applications assure higher production with superior qualitative characteristics, in comparison to crops treated with direct granular soil applications with traditional mineral fertilisers. There is no complete certainty on which is the best method for fertilising soil and nourishing plants as there are many unforeseen circumstances which could hamper the follow up results of the fertilising programmes. That is why the best solution from an environmental (less impact), agronomical (productivity and soil structure maintenance), and economical (better value for money) point of view, could be to provide a complete programme where all fertilising product categories are included, both by foliar and direct soil applications, reducing unit quantities and exploiting the synergy of different applications. |
The best advise is to try not to use products separately because plants uptake, even in different proportions during the various phases, all elements simultaneously. In fact, the plant needs all nutrients together with water, light and air for its metabolism. NPK or NP, NK, PK water soluble with magnesium and micro nutrients are preferable, with added calcium based products because they already have all the necessary correctly proportioned nutrients.
![]() Biokimia water soluble NPK fertilisers by fertigation offer two types: Waterfert, for normal soil conditions and Challenger, for acidifying soil and enabling mixing with liquid Calcium Nitrate Acid. Waterfert and Challenger release nutrients directly in the solution circulating in the soil, they interact with the cationic and anionic exchange by enriching them. Soaked plant roots can promptly uptake the nutrients. In comparison, traditional granular mineral fertilisers can only integrate nutrients reserves in the soil and the nutrients will only be ready for uptake after the microbiological action of the micro organisms make them available to the plant. Biokimia fertigations action is quick, safe and effective and their formulations are distinguished by their excellent value for money. |
